2002 Peugeot 307 warning and stop light with 3 beeps

Recently purchased car, when cornering the 3 beeps started with the warning light. Oil was non existent so topped that up- beeping continues and now shows "STOP". Any ideas? Drives fine, sounds fine, no shudders etc.
Booked into garage sat in case it's brakes, not worth the risk but curious as to what/why..? Typical of my luck with cars!!

sounds like a problem with oil level sensor but make sure oil level is ok first before replaceing it it would also be worth having car checked over as it is new to you for any other faults oil leaks etc if you bought from a garage you have your rights with sale of goods act for 28 days after purchase

Brake fluid level too low or coolant level ?
