2004 Peugeot 307 front spring snapped then 2 weeks later other one snapped

dont know much about cars but have never heard of both springs goin in such a short time. is this common for this car or could it be somehing more sinister

i think it's common as i had one near side spring go on my car and changed both sides as a precaution good job really the other side was showing bad signs of metal fatigue .

what has happened here is one spring has snapped so the other spring is carrying all the car load and stressed it and then you have replace the broken one adnthen the other side has gone this is just to common i here it all the time and when you come to replacing springs you all ways replace them in pairs as you just get this problem
