while driving the car last night found it hard to engage gears so had to be towed home on the way back lost my brakes altogether then noticed fluid on road on inspecting brake cylinder found it empty are both clutch and brake fluid both together just thought that it was causing the pressure to go down and not enabling me to find the gears any advice would be great thanks alan22

A lot of cars nowadays use a dual reservoir for both clutch and brakes .

You have sort of diagnosed the issue yourself,you now just need to top up the fluid and check where the leak is from.
