Long time to start

hi my car use to start first time every time but now its taking apx 5 to 7 turn overs to start i thought it might have been glow plugs so i replaced them and still got the same problem. can anybody help please.

Have a leak off check carried out on injectors as as it sounds like you are losing fuel pressure due to a faulty injector

Another thought. Its possible cam belt is a bit slack

Check all glow plugs are working .

Glow plugs barely come into play on an hdi unless its really really cold. They rely on high fuel pressure in fact if I remember rightly over 200 bar required to start.I think a leak off check would be first thing to do.

Correct re. glow plugs and temp , didn't know if weather / location would apply or not . Just a suggestion in trying to help .Agree with leak off suggestion .
