2005 Peugeot 307 headlamp h1 connector melted

Car: Peugeot 307
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.6 hdi
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hi all i have an issue with my passenger side light h1 connector.

light went out other day and went to look and i see bulb melted to the plastic h1 connector?

Problem i have is cant find 2 wire h1 connector there all 1 wire i have seen about online tried scrap yard and they refused to cut off as its a wire loom which dealer rips off at a price of £600 a loom.

All i want is a H1 connector with 2 wires so i can crimp onto loom or is there a way to use 1 wire just worried about earth connection and blowing fuses.

Advice welcome very much as MOT soon.

Not an electrician , had people who were , in garage who did this work for me .This remedy from someone with same fault seems feasible .

" Sorted out my light .Took it to a local vehicle mechanic and he cut the block off , put a spade connector form the wire to the lights and then another to a spade connector on the light blub housing . Took him 20min and cost 20 pound far better then £600 from rip off peugeot "

Did he solder to housing at all as just worried about blowing fuses

You can get that connector from scrap yard and solder it or heat shrink crimp to original wiring ,I know you can crimp push on connectors but it just looks naff and is a bit of a pain to replace the bulb ,it,s just your original connector was not quite good enough which caused resistance and therefore heat in the circuit.

P.S. Would agree that spade connector is still better idea than expensive terminal as suggested by wittinghame and you just crimp them on to wiring.
