the internal fuse box is water damaged, if I buy a second hand one can I just swap them over ? or do I need to do anything else ?

Aslong as your multiplugs to the fuse box are ok,not damaged or corroded it should be ok.

Remember and cure source of water ingress ?

You can't just fit a second hand one.The internal fuse box is the bsi and needs to be configured and have trans code programmed into it.This is only possible on a virgin bsi.
