2006 Peugeot 307 not starting

Car: Peugeot 307
Year: 2006
Variant: 1.6 sport (petrol)
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I'm having an intermittent problem starting the car. When trying to start the car it does not turn over, just a click. This problem seems to occur when the car is warm and is switched off for short periods. The battery seems fine as everything else works and the starter seems ok as it will start after about 15-20 minutes. Hope some one can help as it never seems to happen when left into the mechanic!

Sounds like your starter solenoid is sticking

I had the same problem, it seemed that when the car was warm and you tryed to restart after stopping, Just a click. I new the battery was good so I removed the starter and had it checked by a friend who is a wizz with electrics. He found that the soldered contacts between solaniod and starter were bad, He re-soldered the two joints and refitted the starter motor for me, Problem solved.

Hope this helps........
