2004 Peugeot 307 how do i fit a new near side wing mirror ?

I have brought a new near side wing mirror for my car ( I have fitted these before on other cars) but when I have looked to remove the screws holding the old wing mirror I can't get to the bottom screws without removing someone of the interior door panelling.How much of the interior do I have to remove to do the job and how do I do it without breaking the interior ?
