2006 Peugeot 307 variable cam actuator problem

Car: Peugeot 307
Year: 2006
Variant: 2.0 XSE Petrol
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi, just wondering if anyone has had a problem with the cam timing advance/retarding on a 2.0L petrol 307 Automatic? According to my dealer, the actuator or the solenoid is 'sticking', meaning the vehicle will 'bog' or nearly stall on take off, before launching forward off the line. Upper rev range is fine. No fault codes have been logged. Peugeot don't know what the actual fix is without throwing parts at the problem, ECU, solenoids, actuators etc. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
