I have a peugoet that sounds like a milk float. As my son describes it. As i accelerate the whining gets higher pitch. seems linked to speed of engine

Is it just when you are moving? and if so is it in any particular gear.

nope as from start up and as rev engine gets higher does not seem to be gear related
