2002 Peugeot 307 loss of power / stalling

My car has had a problem for a while but it dissapeared for a few weeks now its back.
If I am sitting in traffic it will stall or if i'm moving it will suddenly lose power and stall. this morning it did it and the esp/asr light came on before it stalled. The last time it did it it took ages to restart but would just cut out again straight away. When I had the problem a few months ago I had it linked to a diagnostic machine but nothing showed up. What can it be? Help me please!!!!!

you dont state whether its a petrol or diesel.

I have the same problem. Te car is diesel. The coolant light came on. After a short while the car started again and continued normally. Can anyone help?
