2001 Peugeot 307 1.6 hdi
Car: Peugeot 307
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.6 hdi

Hi all,
Very new here.
Just got my self a Peugeot 307 1.6 hdi 2001-02 as a cheap run around. Drives great and alot better on fuel than me modded XR2.
A couple of little issues that i new about when i got the car.
After indicating and turning right the indicator goes into the left turning position on it's own?
Also when i turn the ignition on and start the car the A/C comes on automatically and the blowers seem to be speeding up and slowing down by them self. I have to turn the A/C off every time manually.
These are not major problems, i can live with them, but it would be nice to no what would fix.

Thanks in advance to any helpers.

Indicator fault sounds like a faulty / worn stalk .

Wow very quick reply, thanks.
Thought as much. only asked about it as wanted to no if it is an easy fix without buying new or replacement.
Any ideas of where to get cheap second hand replacement + would there be different types as mine has the wiper and radio controls on the other side.

Scapyard or e-bay usually favourites .

you will need a com2000 for the indicator fault and there are different types so be aware if buying second hand. do you have climate control?

Hi thanks for reply.

On climate control? i don't really no.
All i can say is that in the handbook there are 3 types. 1 with your basic dials and turning nob's and 2nd has the same with an A/C button. 3rd like a digital shape of a car and described as automatic air conditioning. The 3rd is the one in my car, if this helps.

you have climate control. if i remember rightly there is a little grill in the dash to the left of centre. there is a fan and sensor in there that senses cabin temperature. these can and do over time clog and give false readings. not necessarily the fault but its worth a look.
