Car jerks and then cuts out

2006 Peugeot 307 1.6 sport Hdi 110

when driving at high or low speeds, my car car will occasionally jerk and sometimes will cut out.
The fuel and oil are fine, i've had this checked by the AA and they said the fuel and oil were fine
Any solutions?
