hi can anyone help...im having trouble with the touch pad to open boot i can not open the boot now without using screw driver from inside..i took off back panel to get to the black box theres a wire conected to the box..now can someone tell me is it the black box that needs replacing or not????

You need to find out if the mechanism is working or not determine which part needs replacing.
