1997 Peugeot 306 loud noise on revving

when revving the car sounds very metal tinney noise. Appears to be using no oil and more water than normal. Not over heating anymore than usual.

could be just a heat shield of some form rattling but worst case could be internal wear of the engine which would require a rebuild but have the car inspected by your local garage as they will be able to tell you straight away what it is and rectifie the problem for you
