2000 Peugeot 306 still can not fine the red alarm reset button in the bonnet

Now we know the car is a 306 and not a 206 try here ,

This refers to the black reset button .

this might be a bit late in the day for you, but I had the same problem. What I did was to diconnect the car battery. Then reconnect it and rush like mad inside the car to turn the engnition and press the little black alarm button under the streering wheel. You have ten seconds to do this. The lights should stop flashing if successful.
Avoid going to a dealer coz they will probably just do the same thing, lie, and charge you a fortune!
