i have been told it is electrical but not sure my car is hard to start and had new battery put on but speed and rev clock counter needles either dont move or go back to normal (up) and lights come on dash and go dim now and again and when foot on brake it effects dash needles and if u use heater effect needles and electric window does and now central locking playing up sometimes works and then dont and some doors wont open and ive had new batery in key the clock lights go dim and then bright.

Check all battery and earth connections , get alternator output tested . Any fast fit centre or good accessory shop normally check alternator foc while you wait .

It sounds very much like an earthing problem. Main earth points should be checked and cleaned and tightened. They are behind the kick panels (to the right of your accel pedal on the drivers side and next to you left foot in the pass side) in the footwells and under the bonnet on the chassis rails.

Earth points down from battery need cleaning,just to check this is the problem,get a jump lead and connect to negative of battery and onto the earthing points also check tightness of earth lead up by footpedals inside car
