1996 Peugeot 306 juddering

2 day's ago i had to pass through a flooded road and ever since the car violently shakes upon exeleration (from standing and at all speeds), if i idle at 30 cars fine and when i press the brakes the cars fine so can eliminate tracking, any Idea's as car feels dangerous to drive as i use car for work?

Going by what you say , it sounds like a engine misfire , which could be caused by water getting to coil pack (Ignition Coil Peugeot 306 1.6i 04/93-06/00) .
