1994 Peugeot 306 no start dt 306..! please help........

I have a 306 Td but in only starts when bump started via a tow off a mate.

I have checked everything i can think of. Replaced 3 heater plugs and checked that they are getting current and they are. Checked that the heater relay stays on lonf enough and it does, 12 seconds when its cold.

There is a supply of fuel at the injectore pump and i have also checked all the fuses and every one is fine.

The battery has a full charge, once i get a tow it bumps and drives fine with little or no diesal smoke when pressed hard.
But once I stop and turn it off the only way to get it started again is a tow from a mate......

I am at the end of my patience.......really need some help !

how many miles has it covered? if high mileage i would have the compression checked as a diesel engine needs good compression to start.don't be fooled into thinking if the engine doesn't smoke than it's all ok this just proves the oil rings are ok and but not necessarily the compression rings

there is a possability that your diesel pump timing is out i now its sounds imposssible but diesel pumps do go out of synch and do require setting up every now and then
