Battery light on and power steering not working

with the battery light being on and you have no power steering that would only mean you have lost the drive belt that drives the power steering and alternator have a look under the bonnet to see if you have lost the belt come back to me and give me more info on what you find and i will do my best to assist

I agree with thomkass your belt has brokon or come off
