Hi there, my peugeot 306 has started to run very very rich to the point of black smoke and idle is like a mazda rotary.

Engine light comes on sometimes


Any common faults or is there someone who could point me in the right direction.

Sounds like your EGR has locked up,you can clean them but I don't as it seldom last long.
