1995 Peugeot 306 auto transmission shudders low speed

My 306 (after sharp turn in shop car park)shudders and is on about 1/2 power in first and second (auto trans)No previous symptoms and sudden onset make me think a sensor is at fault somewhere. Trans fluid looks fine. Once speed is up to 50-60kmh all is fine. She's done 164000km and is in really good nick (Apart from this)
TPS or vacuum fault maybe? Any advice appreciated.
