2012 Peugeot 208 gearbox fault light

Scared to drive my Peugeot 208 semi automatic due to constant gearbox fault on car, been doing it since last year and have only had the car 1 year which is pretty disappointing as I don't dislike the car just the fault, have tried numerous different things such as unplugging and disconnecting but still no joy and as you can imagine my car konks out at a junction and won't move it is very distressing, anyone got any helpful ideas on what this could be

If it's showing a transmission fault it will need a diagnostic scan carried out to see what is triggering the light . The cutting out at
junctions may be a separate fault all together and unrelated but may show when scanned

Eco mode is a big problem on these cars, going from 1st to 2nd somtimes theses a few second delay where it wont shift and your sat revving like a kn*b at a junction and the car wont go, very dangerous fault and appears to not be such an uncommon problem they should have been recalled years ago.

No car should do that unless there is a fault with the transmission that needs fixing . If there was a known fault causing it other than that , there WOULD have been a safety recall
