Temperature light fault

2006 Nissan Note 1.6se
Car: Nissan Note
Year: 2006
Variant: 1.6se
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Temperature light comes on fairly frequently, no apparent water loss. Temp switch on engine has been replaced, with no effect on fault. Light will go out if heater fan switched on full for a short time. Light can come on after a short time and at various speeds. Problemn is fairly recent following major repair/rebuild of front of car following accident.

Sounds like radiator electric fan is not cutting in when it should . Could be faulty thermal switch . Because of recent front end repairs , make sure switch wiring is connected/ not been damaged in repairs .The switch on engine that was replaced sounds like temp transmitter switch which is different from engine coolant fan switch. Hope this helps you.
