Blue temp. light wont go out

The blue temperature light stays constantly on during normal running .Also the heater doesnt get much warmer than lukewarm .i also think that the car is not as economical as it should be.

sounds like the water level wants filling with you saying its not getting very warm in the car aswell fill up and see how it goes if it needs to be filled every few days then you have a leak some where
