Restarting problem

The car starts first time but judders and then cuts out occasionally. However, it never wants to restarts for a minute or so. This can also happen until the car warms up

I would try changing the engine coolant temp sensor first . This sends signal to the ECU on how much fuel is needed i.e more fuel till it reaches working temp .Similar to operating the old choke on cars .
