2010 Nissan Micra radio fader not working

Sitting in the back of my wife's car I noticed the speakers weren't working. Basic radio with CD. Pressed the MOD button and all I get is Bass, Treble, Balance and Effect but no Fader. As I never sit in the back I'm no idea if the speakers in the back ever worked.

Has it got speakers in the back ? Some models of different manufacturers do not have the speakers but have the grilles on all models .Dependant on spec .

Thanks. It has grilles but no idea if it has speakers behind them. There is no indication in the owner's manual that my model might only have 2 speakers so I will need to do some research. It is a Micra Visia.
