occasionally the car won't start. it fires then dies. if left for an hour or two it then starts. could this be something to do with the transponder in the key?

If it was a transponder fault it wouldnt start then stop.It may be a coolant temp sensor problem

That car also suffers from ignition switch intermittent failures .

Hi can anyone tell me. I have micra 2001 reg some times it starts first time then other time u turn it it over it won't start so count ten turn it and it starts. The engine management light is on too I had ode reader on it and it says crank sensor but this has been replaced so just wondered if anyone can give me idea what could be wrong once it starts it drives spot on thanks
