Rev the hell out bof it for her to move

hello people desprat for help on my nans nissan micra 0.9 i auto jap import when the car its cold you have to rev the car quite hard before the gear kicks in the the hold car jumps forward and ya off then some times it cuts out when in gear so you have to hold the handbrake and keep the revs going at the lights but after a fair few miles its fine please help
