Water puddle inside car

This morning I discovered a puddle of water (about two litres) in the passenger footwell of my micra(not on the driver's side). All my windows and doors were locked properly. It was raining last night but not heavily. It was water not any thing else. All other parts of the car are dry.

Check that the bulkhead drain holes are clear from any dirt and debris. Also if you have a sunroof fitted to the car, check that the drainage channels are clear by poking a long piece of wire down, such as a coat hanger...
