Engine completely dead

woke up in the morning and when i tried to start the car it wouldnot start.
nothing comes on in the car . You cannot even spark the car ; no lights come on .Everything is completely dead

first of all take the car battery of the car and charge the battery up over night if the battery doesnt take charge then it wants replacing either way check all door switches and interior lights as these could be discharging the car battery once you have replaced or charged the battery have the alternater tested to make sure its giving of a charge out put if it isnt then that will also need replacing
