2005 Nissan Almera non starter

Car: Nissan Almera
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.5 Petrol manual
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
There is no spark being produced at all.
I have replaced all park plugs.
There was a fault code read on ODB2 diag reader saying Crank shaft sensor failed.
So replace this plus camshaft sensor, checked all fuses. Still no spark.
Car cranks fine. Checked/reset Immobilser all fine. If the ECU had failed how would I know? Could it be that?

Can you see the rev counter ( if fitted on that model ) moving when cranking ?

I will check with my colleague to see if he can remember.
The Nissan main dealer says it’s the ECU that’s kaput.
But it was responding to my ODBC reader Plus it could clear the fault codes one I has replaced the faulty crankshaft sensor.
How else could I diagnose whether it’s the ECU?
Thanks

Often a crank sensor is replaced needlessly when it is a fault with the wiring / plug for same .Main dealers are in a better position than I to diagnose fault .
