Squeak when brake released

2004 Nissan Almera 1.5
Car: Nissan Almera

I have a very annoying squeak when brake is released at offside rear wheel, it's there only when handbrake is off whether driving or stopped and not there when handbrake is on, i removed brake shoes on offside and lubricated everything that moves with high melting point grease and reassembled everything ( very awkward task) only to find that the squeak is still there, this problem has me foxed. Just wondered has anyone out there had the same problem?

Check for sticking wheel cyl , handbrake cable or h/brake linkage .

Forgot to mention, did you grease the contact points on backplate where the shoes slide on and wheel cyl where the shoe sit on?

I have lubricated absolutely everything including shoes to backplate, wheel cylinder is free and working OK as is h/brake cable, so far it's a mystery, don't know what to try next. Have been in the motor trade in another life for many years and have recently restored 2 classic cars from the ground up so am very familiar with the mechanics of the thing but this squeak has stumped me.

If it's there when stopped and foot brake applied , can you not locate it if wheel , drum removed and someone operating brake pedal whilst brake shoes are held in place with a couple of levers / plain bladed screwdrivers ?
