Ok,

If I remember rightly this truck has the same engine as the pajero & Shogun.

If you have the 2.5 then this engine is very easy to work on.

Most times you have black smoke its going to be any of the following:-

1) EGR Valve (Not found on British versions)
2) Injectors - Wearing out and spray pattern not corrtect..... This is MASSIVLY common !!
3) Turbo Failure!.. Not that common problem

My money is the injectors having worn out. They always do it.

thanks for your solutions but it turned out too be main crank shaft key way worn too twice the size it should be fixed the problem welder and die grinder runs like a rocket now cheers
