L200 uses a lot of water

2004 Mitsubishi L200 2.5 TD Animal
Car: Mitsubishi L200
Year: 2004
Variant: 2.5 TD Animal
Categories: Leaks & Noises
My L200 uses a lot of water in the cooling system. I have had it gas tested and that came up clear, new thermostat, just in case, system well bled. The car doesn’t overheat and I have even changed the radiator as the old one was partially blocked but it still uses water. I am running out of ideas. Help please.

Not sure what you mean by gas test . If you carry out sniff test ( block test ) it will tell you if any internal fault i.e head gasket etc. Possibly same as " gas test" ? Then if ok , a pressure test on cooling system should show any external leaks .

hi as whittingehame says have a pressue test on cooling system, whilst the system is under pressue check the carpets around the heater box inside the cab to see if the heater matrix has a leak, this is an area that some mechanics seem to miss for some reason
