2009 Mitsubishi L200 sounds like i have a hidden mobile phone under dash

this has happened twice now the first time i could not detect where the problem was but the second time i was near a lay by so pulled up jumped out and located it too behind the fuse box (by drivers right knee) there is some sort of what looks like a alarm box but why would it ring like a phone?

Does it look factory?
And by that I mean check the connectors and see if they're the same as others on the car?
