Hi, my L200 2007 has started to rev and accelerate unevenly, like surging and sometimes totally loses power, to only pick up again, to be honest I think it has lost power anyway but not noticed until now the surging has started, it has also stopped ticking over a couple of times. Has anyone got any ideas please?

Last time the fuel filter was renewed?
If recent then I'd be checking for air leaks in the fuel supply lines/filter housing.
