My l200 recently overheated causing an engine problem. My temp gauge was not working. Should I have seen any warning lights on the dash?

A lot of times when a warning light comes on cars today , the damage is already done .The fact your temp gauge was not working would be a major factor in the overheating and would have given you notice of something wrong if functioning .

Mitsubishi L 200, break light on dashboard permanent, but have break on car, how can light off or what is problem ?
