1999 Mitsubishi L200 drivers side windscreen wiper not moving

Yesterday, the drivers side windscreen wiper stopped moving. It freely moves by hand, but not by the motor. The passenger side still works.

Any idea what could be the cause of this before i take it to a garage

Sounds like wiper linkage arm has popped off . This shows the set up and what is usually needed .
