If you have selected temp on both sides it sounds like the actuator motor has faied or got stuck.
If losing coolant since head gasket fitted i would go straight back to the garage and ask them to check the work they have done, quite clearly something is leaking which should have been noticed

HAVE HAD SMALL OIL LEEK FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW, NOTICED OIL IN RAD CAP TODAY. INVESTIGATED OIL LEEK AND LOOKS LIKE COULD BE COMING FROM OIL COOLER UNDER TURBO? COULD THIS BE THE CAUSE OF OIL IN COOLANT AND ALSO PREVIOUS PROBLEM OF BLOWING COLD AIR TO DRIVERS SIDE VENTS WHEN HEATING IS ON FULL?????
