I am currently having problems with my Mini One. Driving round the doors is fine but when i am on the Motorway and need to overtake Trucks etc there is no power to accelerate. It just feels very flat. The engine management light is intermittant. Sometimes it is on but then goes out. I have been told by friends various possibilities ranging from poor fuel to air filters. I was hoping to get sound advice before replacing any items on the car.

Best bet is to get a diagnostic scan carried out otherwise you are just guessing / replacing parts that might not be the cause of fault .
