2002 Mini One mileage display on speedo is blank

Mileage display suddenly went blank, All other functions including speedo are normal

They do suffer from instrument cluster faults .Whether a scan would show a fault code , I cant say for definite Dont think anything in settings would cure but never know as options varies from car to car
