hi, my zr has recently had a problem with startin, i put the key in and turn the ignityion on everything works, but when i turn it to start the car there is nothing from the engine, i turn it 6/7 times, or hold it for a while and then the car suddenly kicks into life, was told to replace ignition wire to started, but still no success, can anyone help me on this as it has me puzzled

Could be faulty ignition switch or starter fault .Check all wiring / connections at starter and also body earths .If still having problems , get an auto electrician to check out starting system and load test starter motor.
