Year: 2002
Variant: 1.4
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
My car blows the brake light fuse when boot lid is shut it seems Ok when lid is open, I have changed the bulbs and now the indicators sont work, help!
Problem added: Aug 8, 2012 (11 years ago)
Check the bulb housings are clean and free of rust and dirt
Check the earth straps around boot area are tight and in good order (Signs of a bad earth can be bulbs not working or other bulbs illuminating out of sequence)

You obviously have a broken wire or two in the loom that runs from the body to the tailgate. Peel back the rubber sheath and hopefully the broken wiring will be evident
