2003 MG ZR breaks go to the floor sometimes when driving

I got a mgzr 1.8 and changed the break pads and bleed then, the breaks work but sometimes when break the peddle goes to the floor and the car wont stop, i have to pump it to get it to work again, but it only does it sometimes. I changed the abs pump,master cyclinder and the sensor and it still does it???

Has the fluid level dropped (Poss leak)
Sounds like Air in system, Try bleeding the system again, You really need two people to do this. Have you replaced the pads after you bled the system, This can push the fluid back and cause air traps in system too

No fluid leaks il try bleading again but dont think it will help but also when i slam the brakes on it stops but right at the end of the braking theres a big clonk thanks 4 posting back

possibly a brake booster problem meaning that the brakes wont be pumped up and assisting the pedal, with car off pump pedal a few times and see if it pumps up as being harder to depress each time, then turn on the car with the brake pedal pressed to see how far pedal travels.

Do you have an ABS fault? I.e a faulty sensor causing the ABS to cut in. this would give the feeling of a poor brake pedal and the grinding noise you describe is the buzzing from the pump cutting in.You could quickly check the target wheels on drive shafts to make sure they are in tact
