1936 MG TA Midget engineoil in cooling system

Car: MG TA Midget
Year: 1936
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I have engine oil getting into the water system. I have already removed the cylinder head, cleaned and flattened the engine block and cylinder head faces and fitted a new copper gasket, after which I flushed the cooling system several times (using detergent) until the water was consistently clean.
The head was then properly tightened down but after only 50 miles the problem has reappeared. There is no trace of water in the engine oil.
Any suggestions? Thank you

what you will find is that you wont get rid of all the oil just by flushing it out you will need to run the car again then flush it out again and again you will find that it will eventually go away but do keep an eye on both oil and water levels just to be safe

1 sure way to remove oil from a water system.... wahsing powder..... 1 scoop in the radiator and put on a fast spin... i'm not joking... it works!!!
