2020 MG MG3 stop start & electrics

2020 after not using the car for 10 days the battery was flat. September 2022 while driving in the Netherlands the Radio would only play one station and the Bluetooth would not work. On getting home the Battery Failed. I disconected the Battery (supposedly not recommended) to charge it, after taking over 24 hours to charge, the car started and the Radio and Bluetooth now work but not the Stop Start. Seen by the MG Dealer in October for a morning they said they needed a couple of days to identify the problem, which they now can only do in November! After sales service is rubbish.

Terrible service ! You could check your battery voltage , if too low stop / start cuts off . Also on some cars you can scroll through settings and switch it off permanently . If you have this option on your car , switch it off and then back on again , sometimes resets it .

Thanks for the reply. I'll check and have a go but if it was that simple surely having had my car for a morning you would have thought the Garage could have sorted it out?

You would think so and hope they did , but I learned many years ago you never assume anything with cars / garages .Sometimes we miss the obvious .Only a two min job to LOAD test battery .

Followed your advice.
The Battery is well charged and after 4 hours of non driving the system should reset itself, obviously this it not working? I just think they have no idea what's wrong or know what's wrong and think I will just learn to live with it. My MG3 is booked in again to be fixed for a couple of days!? Do I need a car to use they said, yes I do.

Being honest , I detest the stop / start system and always have it off on any cars I drive .If you get it resolved , would be grateful for update on solution
