1995 Mercedes Benz C Class car rpms

when driving car slows down while foot still on excelerator.rpms counter goes up and down by itself.switch car off and restart,start drivig then the same happens.i can push my foot down on the excellerator it just rev up and down and wont go.when car parked and you start engine it will run the right rpms for awhile then suddenly rpms goes up and down.

So many possible causes on that car , you really need to get a diagnostic scan carried out .

like legend says need a diag check, but do suffer with air leaks from the air filter pipe to the inlet manifold.
