the car doesnt rev past 3000 revs it runs perfect and engine light on its been like this for 2years i been told its diesel pump but not sure thank you

does it have a clutch switch on it ? its much like the brake light switch but mounted on the clutch pedal and will not allow you to rev the vehicle highly when the pedal is down it might be faulty and think the pedal is still depressed when you have let it go
