Malfunction issue showing 2 gears

After driving the car jerks and the warning comes on the dash Malfunction issue showing 2 gears? the only thing I can do is select ok it goes away however will not use electric while in hybrid mode? is this just a reset issue or something major?

Heard a few complaints with this and if I remember correctly , it was tied into the starter motor, and an update to the battery control module .Need taking into a Merc dealership .

Unfortunately you got to play safe and get it checked out , get the wallet out with a trip to dealership !! Not worth taking any chances and may be a while before getting an appointment from what I've heard unless you are lucky .
